Why correction comes before the coating
A ceramic coating bonds to whatever is under it. If the clear coat has swirl marks, oxidation or haze, the coating seals those in and they stay for as long as the coating does. That is the most common way a coating job goes wrong, and it has nothing to do with the coating itself.
So the paint gets corrected first. Wetsanding and compounding level out the damage, and polishing brings the depth back. All coating packages include a full paint correction, so nobody has to decide whether to pay for it separately.
The order matters because the correction is the part you can't redo cheaply later. Once a coating is on, the surface underneath is locked away.
